LOIC'S STORY
Loïc, a small town boy, has achieved a big dream: becoming World Champion. His journey is one of quiet determination, unwavering passion, and the power of being believed in. At his dojo, Loïc found not only instructors but mentors who saw his potential and gave him the chance to shine. In just four years of training, he has gone from a hopeful beginner to a world champion. His story reminds us all that dreams have no age, and that with heart, support, and perseverance, even the smallest among us can rise to the greatest challenges.
Loïc carries not only his belt and gear, but also the hopes of a community cheering him on every step of the way.
How did Loïc become World Champion?
At his Douvris dojo, Loïc found an uplifting environment and supportive Senseis who immediately recognized his potential. Under the mentorship of Sensei Peter and Sensei Nick, Loïc found the encouragement and belief he had been searching for. Both Senseis encouraged his passion and gave him the opportunity to grow as a martial artist. When Loïc shared his two dreams with Sensei Nick: to earn his black belt and one day compete at the WKC World Championships, Sensei Nick embraced them as his own. Today, Loïc is a world champion and just one belt away from his junior black belt.
This year, Loïc has set bold new goals. He’s working to represent Canada in Spain — not only to defend his World Champion title in Chinese Form and climb to first place in point sparring, but also to qualify in other Kata styles.
