Faith and Martial Arts: Hand in Hand

Loïc believes that art can lead us closer to our faith. Whether through music, painting, or martial arts, each form of expression can reveal something of God’s beauty and goodness.

For Loïc, martial arts have become more than just training or competition, they are a way to live out values of discipline, humility, respect, and perseverance, all rooted in his Catholic faith. He believes that when practiced with the right heart, karate can truly shine with God’s goodness.

This morning, before the start of the World Championships, Loïc was able to offer his entire week, every kata, match, challenge, and moment of effort to the Lord at Mass.

For him, faith and martial arts walk hand in hand. Every bow, every kata, and every match becomes a quiet act of faith, a way of saying: This is for You, Lord.
